I am pleased to inform you that South Africa has joined the world of Savate. Miodrag Rakic and Slobodan Popov were invited to run a seminar series, between 13th and 22nd April, in Johannesburg, Centurion and Pretoria. More than 120 participants from 16 clubs took part in training, including technical training, training for officials and for coaches.

The participants were keen to learn, and showed good progress. Trevor Clarke, organiser of the seminar series and President of the new South African Savate Federation, complimented Mr Rakic and Mr Popov for their excellent presentation and training workshops. He received very positive comments and feedback from his members. Mr Clarke's aim is to have 20 clubs by the end of July. Let's look forward to South Africa becoming a strong contender in future championships.
