Chauss fight - 2008 Marseille











On Friday 24th October, at the Salle Vallier, Marseilles, an 8-man tournament and the first world-wide belt of Chauss’Fight were contested.

Enoch Effah (France) was awarded the world-wide belt. The heavyweight world savate champion of 2005 and 2007 won on points against Michele Cianelli (Switzerland), the European full contact champion.

Mohamed Diaby won the tournament brilliantly, showing his extraordinary experience and technique. Diaby was champion of France and vice champion of the world in savate in 2007. All of his victories during the tournament were on points. In the quarter finals, he beat Nicolas Aicardi. Innocent Widens was dispatched in the semifinals. To secure the victory, he beat Michaël Lallemand, kickboxing champion of Europe 2005 and Thai boxing champion of France 2004.

The event will be broadcast on the French TV channel SPORT + in late November.
