Classical South-Indian Martial Art of Silambam, using Sticks/ Swords, and with Empty-Hand techniques. From Professor Michael Belzer's 2007 Asia Martial Arts Tour, where he visited this Silambam school in Malaysia,and another school of Jujitsu/Aikido in Japan. Professor Belzer has been active since the 1970s, initially being the assistant of the legendary Donn Draeger who was the writer of the book Weapons and Fighting Arts of the Indonesian Archipelago". Michael Belzer met master Draeger and trained with him during the earlier days. Michael Belzer also met the Datu Meor Abdul Rehman of Silat seni Gayong and trained from him when the Datu was alive. Mike also trained with Guro Dan Inosanto at the Inosanto Academy.
