In 1975 Anderson had also started a safety equipment company he named "Top Ten". He did this because existing safety equipment for the fighters really wasn`t very safe and companies who made it refused to improve upon it. Anderson`s Top Ten factory was in Florida. One day he got a phone call from Brueckner who told him that he had discovered a synthetic rubber, made in Germany, that absorbed more shock than any other glove or head guard material on the planet. They both agreed that the safety of the fighters was the most important aspect of the sport, so the Top Ten Company was moved to Germany and has since become the official boxing equipment for the last 3 Olympic Games.
