In August 2009, the Serbian Savate Federation organized a 10 day sport camp in Vrdnik. 43 athletes (37 younger of 18 years) took part, training with Boris Essere form Lyon, France.
Training sessions took place 3 times each day, and many athletes passed colour glove examinations. Since Miodrag Rakic started the Serbian Savate Federation in 2003, Serbia have had excellent results in World and Europe Championships. The Serbian Savate Federation, which is recognized by the Ministry of Sport in Serbia, also hosted the Qualifying tournament for the World Combat Championships this year. This event was financed by Institute of sport of republic of Voyvodina and Ministry of youth and sport Serbia - for 40 people full pension and trainings. Incredible country this Voyvodina.
