SPORTELAmerica 2009 SCORES AGAIN!

MIAMI BEACH, March 18 - A total of 508 participants, representing 286 companies from 49 countries worldwide, attended this week's SPORTELAmerica 2009 at the Miami Beach Resort in Miami Beach, Florida, it was announced today by David Tomatis, Chief Executive Officer of SPORTEL.
In making the announcement, Mr. Tomatis commented, "We are very satisfied with the turn-out for SPORTELAmerica 2009 and we sincerely appreciate the show of support from our clients - both old and new - especially given the economic and financial uncertainties facing us all."
Participants on the market floor indicated their satisfaction with the level of business done. Said one long-time exhibitor, "We had a full schedule of meetings going in, saw all the people we needed to see and are pleased with the results". A first-time exhibitor observed, "Being able to set up our meetings beforehand was a real advantage for us and we were happily surprised at the amount of walk-in business we had."
Continued Mr. Tomatis, "We especially want to acknowledge the efforts of DFL DEUTSCHE FUßBALL LIGA GmbH, which sponsored the Delegates' Bags and the Badge Cords, and HD ENTERTAINMENT, INC., which sponsored the Opening Cocktail and provided a very entertaining demonstration of the mixed martial arts form: Sanda - Wushu Kung fu.
Top-level executives representing all aspects of international sports television and sports content were present at the 3-day event, including broadcasters, cable and satellite services, new mobile technologies, professional leagues, program distributors, sports marketing agents, event organizers, satellite services, producers, hardware/software and facilities providers, international sports federations and new media from around the world.
SPORTEL's next event, SPORTELMonaco 2009, October 12-15, 2009 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, represents a milestone as it marks the 20th Anniversary of the market that began in the fall of 1990. Last year,
SPORTELMonaco 2008 had a record total 2,495 participants, representing 1,028 companies from 80 countries, making it the largest SPORTEL event ever!
