SportAccord : second Combat Games 2013, Sankt Peterburg Russia

WILL BE CANNE DE COMBAT REPRESENTED ALSO AS SAVATRE SPORT IN 2013 COMBAT GAMES IN SANKT PETERBURG? THERE IS STRONG TRADITIONAL FENCING AND CANNE GROUP IN THIS CITY BUT NOT VERY ACTIVE ON COMPETITIONS.

Between the 13th and 17th March, the Technical Commission of SportAccord, headed by Mr. Stephan Fox, visited St. Petersburg to choose sports venues and hotels for the second World Combat Games due to take place in 2013. The Technical Director of the Russian Savate Federation, doctor of pedagogics Serge Bulanov was invited to work with this commission.

On the 14th March, the commission visited sport venues in St. Petersburg, and on the 15th March, they reviewed available hotels.

On the 16th March, Mr Hein Verbruggen, President of SportAccord, visited Moscow where he had the meetings with the Vice-Premier of Russia and with the Minister of Sports. On the 17th, he had visited St. Petersburg where he met with the presidents of combat federations. Mr Verbruggen was satisfied with the results of all meetings and the work of the commission. He was sure that next World Combat Games in 2013 in St. Petersburg would be a great success.
